OTJ Architects collaborated with Sarah Richter Design on the lighting for a lobby renovation of an 8-story, 184,000 square-foot office building built in 1988, and Whitegoods lighting was selected to illuminate the new look.
As the first-impression introduction to this upgraded structure, emphasis was placed on the lobby to showcase the extensive improvements throughout. The massive barrel vault ceiling at the lobby entrance and the ceiling of the elevator bank are both highlighted with Whitegoods’ Edgeless Cove to add drama, as well as illumination. Edgeless Cove delivers a continuous soft wash of directed light to the surface above and the light source is not visible from any viewing angle.
Two versions of the four-inch ProTools Round Recessed Cone Downlight; standard and adjustable, complement the cove lighting by providing general illumination to a hallway between the lobby entrance and the elevator bank. Available in tunable white and warm dim, the ProTools 4” downlight family from Whitegoods offers trimless and trim, round or square, wall washers, ultimate performance, superb glare control and lens options.
