Kina Pendant Light by David Trubridge
The Kina pendant light is one of the most popular fixtures from David Trubridge. Every fixture is made from sustainable bamboo and was inspired by the natural patterns evident in Kina (the Maori word for “sea urchin”).
In the ingenious Kina design, identical component pieces are CNC cut from flat plywood, which when assembled are gently bent to create a torus shape. The negative space projects beautiful diamond shadow patterns. Shadows can be enhanced or diminished via lamping and proximity to surfaces.
