Urheilupuisto Subway Station

Millions of people worldwide frequent subway stations on a daily basis, which is an incentive to make them more attractive, modern and welcoming. Fresh colour concepts, artistic walls and ceiling structures as well as light and homogeneous illumination aim to convey a trustful and safe atmosphere.

These attributes characterize the redesigned Urheilupuisto subway station in Helsinki. The lighting concept designers used 20 largely dimensioned CIRCOLO luminaires to set intriguing accents. The polished surface effectively mirrors the structure of the ceiling and walls. The luminaires can be individually controlled and adapted to natural daylight by state-of-the-art LED and control technology.
