Apogee Research is a research and development cyber security company that works with the intelligence and DoD communities in Washington, DC. Due to the classified nature of their work for the federal government, Apogee requires all employees to be in the office. Inter-lux partnered with the Workplace and Office team at Stantec Architecture in DC to renovate Apogee’s existing space to one that more effectively welcomes visitors and provides team members with collaboration areas, as well as private offices.

Surface-mounted ProTools 60 Linear Downlight (PTL 60) painted in company colors of Deep Orange and Brilliant Blue accent the ceilings of the lobby and a gaming room to add illumination and team spirit. The linear nature of the fixtures and the lighting design provide wayfinding as well. PTL 60 is an integrated solution compatible with all ceiling types and capable of providing downlight, wall wash, and wall graze distribution for ceiling heights up to 30’. Extreme brightness control eliminates glare to optimize working conditions.

3-inch ProTools Downlights join PTL60 to provide general and accent illumination for these spaces.

Edgeless Cove lighting brings drama to the ceiling of a coffee bar area to deliver an even wash of directed light to the ceiling above, and redirected light to softly illuminate the back of the cove.
