With the 2012 Fair’s theme of energy efficiency, new LED products will be one of the focal points for attendees who include architects, designers, artisans and other trade and industry professionals from around the globe.

Market partners will provide in-booth demonstrations and also socialize with Fair visitors during happy hours throughout the week, including the Tuesday ACDC Happy Hour and the Wednesday IALD Happy Hour at Schmitz. Around 2,100 exhibitors and 183,000 visitors are expected at this year’s Fair.

This unique app can be used to measure various light levels and also provides a guide to users regarding the appropriateness of existing light conditions for different environments or tasks – i.e., “ideal for reading printed paper of high contrast” or “ideal for performing visual tasks of low contrast or very small size”. This dynamic on-screen information is shown as light levels change, allowing the user to compare what they see to other applications. A timer function also allows for readings in hard to reach areas where a display is not easily seen.

The app can be set to display results as foot-candles or lux, depending on user preference, and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch (3rd generation and beyond).

This live event will be held at Jack Studio in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, offering an exciting venue for inter-lux to share its expertise in lighting solutions with over 400 lighting industry guests. Following the event, the Pechakucha presentation – along with all others presented – will be posted online for an additional six months, providing desktop access of the experience for additional members of the lighting industry.

The Wine Store required minimal impact lighting which was provided by metal halide wall wash and the newest range of metal halide 150 series adjustable gimbal luminaires.

The International Designer Room features single and double adjustable gimbal fixtures in both halogen and metal halide for a totally flexible retail lighting space.

The Signature Room features a mix of metal halide and halogen triple adjustable gimbals in the new black finish, offering subtle yet variable lighting in this prestigious location.

The Halcyon Art Gallery, one of the world’s largest art galleries, designed by AHMM Architects with lighting by ZNA, is illuminated with P100 continuous linear T5 fixtures forming the inner door frames and creating an ethereal glow at the entrance to the art gallery space.
